For those of you that have read my blog, you'd know that I had a pretty damn hard time having a baby. The past few years have been a whirlwind of emotions. Super low, lows and the highest of highs.
After I got pregnant for the third time. I was honestly...annoyed. I know that sounds terrible. Horrible, even. But after losing two pregnancies, I didn't think I could handle it. Not one bit. That meant that I spent a lot of my pregnancy worried, stressed and generally anxiety filled. I'm sure many of you that suffer from fertility problems know the feeling...
Here are a few tips on surviving a pregnancy after pregnancy loss:
1. Meditation and Pre-natal Yoga: If you are a frequent reader, you know that yoga has changed my life. Yoga trains your mind to focus on the present. On the now. By focusing on the now you can appreciate what is happening in your body in the moment. Not only will it help you train your thoughts, it has some fantastic health benefits like stress management, labor prep and overall fitness management.
2. The Power of Now: Pick up that read. Trust me.
3. Draw a soothing bath: Like both of the tips above, this is also all about just being present and appreciating the moment you are in. Sink in to a nice warm bath and just be with your baby. Plus, it will give you a taste of being whale sized in a tub in case you want to go the water birth route!
4. Join a group of link-minded moms and read some blogs!: There are plenty of women out there that have gone through the same thing you have.
